This is one of the few wines in the 2022 Raveneau range to display any appreciable wood influence and to be sure, it remains subtle on the markedly floral of the spicy essence of pear, just sliced lime, iodine and a hint of algae. There is superb detail to the medium weight flavors that are also seductive yet punchy while exhibiting evident minerality on the youthfully austere, lengthy and youthfully austere finale. This isn't quite as complex as the Vaillons but given that it's also built to repay at least a decade of keeping, that could well change and my rating assumes that it will.
