Tasting note: This is quite ripe though not really exotic with dried yellow orchard fruit and floral aromas that are trimmed in noticeable if not actually intrusive wood. There is excellent concentration and richness to the delicious and powerful medium weight plus flavors that possess excellent size and weight for a villages level wine, all wrapped in a solidly complex and persistent finish. The acid support is unusually good for a 2003 white and while this is fully mature it is by no means in any danger of declining, indeed it should continue to drink well for at least another decade. To be sure, this is not an elegant vintage for this wine but it is a success in the context of the vintage.
