The first bottle was definitely evolved and while not so badly that it was undrinkable, it was clearly not what it should have been. The second bottle displayed a deep yellow color and was also slightly evolved but not in the sense of premox. The fully mature nose displayed plenty of dried floral and dried yellow fruit aromas that were in keeping with the ripe, rich and solidly well-concentrated medium-bodied flavors that coat the mouth with dry extract. The finish is quite dry, which provides an interesting contrast to the naturally sweet character of the mid-palate. This is a powerful vintage for this wine though one that has unquestionably arrived at its peak and I would be drinking this up over the next few years.
