A decidedly ripe yet fresh nose offers up notes of poached plum, earth and wood along with an abundance of spice and similar exotic tea elements. The sleek and almost painfully intense flavors possess imposing size, muscle and power while delivering first-rate persistence and depth on the well-balanced and youthfully austere finish. 2022 is a markedly powerful vintage for the Méo Cros and a wine that should amply repay 15 to 20 years of cellaring. It may not be one of the all-time great vintages for this legendary wine but it's seriously impressive all the same.
